Great River hosts bar and bat mitzvahs of all sizes, whether you are planning a large party or a more intimate mitzvah celebration. Our spacious banquet hall can accommodate up to 180 guests with ample room for dancing the Hora, speeches, and the candle lighting. Smaller gatherings can also be held on our patio with stunning views of the golf course and Housatonic River.
Our unique ballroom with tall windows and vaulted ceiling offers endless possibilities for personalizing your bar or bat mitzvah reception. The neutral color palette of our private event space complements any style you are planning for your mitzvah party theme.
Great River is conveniently located off of the Merritt Parkway and I-95 in Milford, CT for guests travelling from Fairfield County and across Connecticut. Out-of-town guests can take advantage of the many hotels in proximity to the venue.
Bar & Bat Mitzvah Menu
Our traditional mitzvah menu offers options for a seated formal dinner or buffet. Either selection includes a wide array of items to satisfy all tastes and dietary needs. Guests can be treated to butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a selection of entrees from our expansive menu.
Young adults can enjoy a range of appetizers, all while enjoying an unlimited soda bar and Shirley Temples throughout the event. Entrees include a taco bar, homemade pizzas, tenderloin tips, and much more.
